Designer Rakhee

Raksha Bandhan, lovingly called Rakhi, is one of the
most cherished Hindu festivals celebrating the sacred bond between brothers and
sisters. On this day, sisters tie a beautiful Rakhi (decorative thread) on
their brothers’ wrists, symbolizing love, protection, and blessings. In return,
brothers vow to protect their sisters and shower them with gifts.

What makes Raksha Bandhan unique is that it transcends blood
relations—cousins, friends, and even those bound by affection rather than
family ties, join in this celebration of love, trust, and unity. In recent
times, Rakhis are also sent to soldiers and distant loved ones, making the
festival even more meaningful.

This year, Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated on 9th
August
, coinciding with the auspicious Bhadra Mukta period.
Interestingly, this day also marks the conclusion of the holy month of Sawan,
the final Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva, and the closing of the sacred
Amarnath Yatra.
