Sarna Hotel
For food lovers got a new gastronomic destination at the
outskirt of Ranchi at Daladili chowk, just before Dhoni farm house, on Ring
road a Dhaba called Sarna Hotel is opened
and slowly the aroma of spices of mutton curry with hot boild rice spread all
over Ranchi which is about 7 Kms from Argora Chowk Ranchi, and the meat lovers
beeline for that Dhaba and during lunch time a person can seldom find a place
to sit and enjoy the delicious and sumptuous Meat Bhaat (ethnic name) meal with toothsome taste in reasonable price
for two pieces of meat with rice, Chutney, Salad and Pappad cost Rs 150/- for
extra piece they charge Rs 60/- per piece and for rice Rs 20/_ for ½ plate.
The beauty
of the hotel is serving the delectable meals in ethnic way on the leaves of Sal
trees called Dona which is available in plenty in Jharkhand adding more palatability
to its delightful meal. Being a foodie I also relished and enjoyed their
scrumptious mutton curry and rice. In the mean time I also came to know that
the Dhaba starts from 9 O’ clock in the morning till 3 Pm and by that time, about
80 Kgs of goat meat prepared in very ethnic way and with homemade spices is
consumed by more than 600 persons.
But the consumption also varies upon
the season, holidays or festivals. Some seasons or festivals prohibits from
consuming non vegetarian meals such as Srawan month, Chhath festival, Navratra,
in these periods sale of meat just goes down drastically making the survival of the staff difficult
regarding their maintenance and salaries as said by the owner Peter Gari a
Hotel Management graduate. The Sarna Hotel is made of Bamboos making it ethnic look
and a good ambience with about 30 staffs
Mr, Peter is running his grandiose smoothly and profitably.
