Kayaks
Kayaking
is also a great and popular sporting activity in Australia whom denizens likes
most. It is small and sleek boat made of polyethylene resin, plastic and
rubberized inflatable kayaks which are suited for freestyle kayaking. Most of
the kayaks are made smaller, sleek in design strong and made of fiberglass too.
It is to be noted that plastic kayaks are more durable. Wooden kayaks are lighter
than the plastic kayaks and it is useful for fishing but after loading the
fishing equipments it become heavier. Kayaks are designed in a way that it
can’t be filled with water if it flipped over.
As
for sport and recreations this mode of sport is very popular and youngsters
hire kayaks from the agencies for capacity of sitting single, double or more
than those peddlers. Where I was residing in New Castle I use to see the
youngsters kayaks sailing in the backwaters and in crystal clear water. The
main drawback of this sport is that it is done in open are of water and in
harshly sun, no vegetations around may cause sometimes dehydrations, extreme sun
burn can cause damage to the skins.
There are some dos and don’ts for kayaks.
1.
Launching
in dangerous water,
2.
Attempting
in busy waterways,
3.
Choosing
uncomfortable weather
4.
Over
confidence and over standing,
5.
Utilizing
its gear inappropriately.
It is a great sport for the beginner,
but children under 15 must do it under guidance till he/she become expert in
it. As it is made of light materials like plastic so it floats in troubled
water too.
It
is said that the first kayak was made about 5000 years ago by the Inuit and
Aleut people to travel swiftly across the water, located in Arctic North
America. That tribe use to make kayaks out of bones, animal skins and wood.
