A Pandal with a Difference 📚✨
As Durga Puja fervor grips the state, every corner of Jharkhand—from Dhanbad to Jamshedpur, Bokaro to Ranchi—is buzzing with devotees thronging to admire the breathtaking Maa Durga idols and artistically designed pandals. Roads and streets overflow with people eager to witness the creativity, spirituality, and festive joy that mark this grand celebration.

This year, the city has outshone itself with unique theme-based pandals, each carrying a deeper message. While Harimati Pandal in Ranchi spreads awareness about health and yoga, the Kokar Pandal takes a bold step in highlighting the menace of mobile addiction among children—portraying mobiles as demons that slowly erode physical activity and wellbeing.

Equally thought-provoking is the Chandra Shekhar Azad Durga Puja Samiti Pandal, which artistically narrates the journey of life—from the womb to the final stage—through intricate wooden carvings. At Kantatoli’s Netaji Subhas Pandal, the depiction of Operation Sindoor is yet another powerful theme, beautifully brought to life with painted panels and sculpted idols.
But among all, one pandal in Ranchi stands out for its sheer uniqueness—the Gurukul-themed Pandal at Argora. Built with over 21,000 books, this masterpiece resembles a grand library. The walls are adorned with books of every size and subject, symbolizing India’s deep-rooted educational tradition. At the very heart of this literary wonder sits the resplendent idol of Maa Durga, radiating divine energy amidst knowledge and wisdom.

Crafted by Kolkata artisans and organized by Shri Dugar Puja & Ravan Dahan Samiti, this pandal is drawing not only devotees but also book lovers, students, and families alike. It beautifully bridges faith and education—reminding us that true devotion is also rooted in knowledge.
Beyond the spiritual aura, Durga Puja also brings with it the charm of food courts, giant wheels, merry-go-rounds, devotional selfies, and cultural programs—turning the city into a sea of devotion, festivity, and joy.
